Having walked on fire several times, I can testify to the very powerful act of facing our physical fears. Doing things that scare the living the daylights out of us can have create huge waves of shifts in all areas of our lives.
Disregarding the thrill that is generated from it, when it comes to facing fear, I find myself wondering how it is that most people find it easier to jump out of a plane or jump off a cliff into the ocean than it is to face the fear of being emotionally vulnerable.
Are we that disillusioned to the undeniable power of The Human Connection? Have we become so disconnected that we don’t even remember that we’re literally all living and breathing warm blooded mammals?
I mean seriously, we need to get a grip! Everyday I encounter people that are amazed (and terrified) by acts of emotional vulnerability.
It’s pretty simple, being that real, just might be the easiest and simplest way to ‘save the world’ as they say. Be the change you wish too see in the wold (Gandhi) and you don’t have to chase after it, in this context, opportunities to face the fear (and for change and connection) are everywhere. The question is: Do you have the courage to step up ?
I don’t think the title of your article matches the content lol. Just kidding, mainly because I had some doubts after reading the article.
